HISTORY BEFORE JULY 2001

HISTORIA ANTES DE JULIO 2001

On 15 September 1990, Elfi Stitz received the first, small Pilgrim Shrine from Father Franz Widmaier in Klein-Schoenstatt, Munich, Germany for the purpose of beginning Schoenstatt in Virginia, in the Washington, DC area. For several years, Mrs. Stitz made Schoenstatt known to her parish priests and individuals in the parish of St. Clara as well as among friends. Schoenstatt materials from the Pater Kentenich Sekretariat in Vallendar, Germany were ordered.

But the Blessed Mother arrived in the area through Elfi before, and later with Fr. Esteban Uriburu, Fr. Dieter Haas, Deacon Alfredo and Irene Soto and others...  and soon we'll tell you here that great story!

Fr. Esteban Uriburu met for the first time Deacon Alfredo Soto at EWTN studios, and gave Alfredo his book "Continuaré junto a ustedes" with the following dedication: "For Alfredo, so that we can remember this providencial meeting at EWTN. With freat affection, Fr. Esteban Uriburu   January 24 1995
